Registration

Participants and their Accompanying persons are requested to register in advance using the following ways:

a) The On-line Registration Service through Congress Website

This service allows the participant to register as well as selecting any other additional services (accommodation, social events, tours and transfers). The on-line registration service supports on-line payment in a secure environment. In case you choose to pay by bank transfer, please send us by fax (+30 210 7711768) the bank transfer receipt stating clearly your registration number and your name. All bank transfers should be made without charges to the beneficiary (e.g. Congress Secretariat).

b) By downloading the Congress Registration Package

Please fill in the forms and send it by fax (+30 210 7711768) or by e-mail as an attachment to congress secretariat (registrations@wscts2008.com) together with a proof of payment (credit card details or copy of the bank transfer).

Only after your payment clears, you will receive by congress secretariat a confirmation of all your registration details and requests along with an invoice.

Pre-registration is possible until the 21st of April, 2008. After this date, please, do not send any registration forms or payments, as you will have the opportunity to register on site.

Registration and early hotel booking are highly recommended, as May is considered a high season month for the island of Kos.

* The Allied Health rate is available only to nurses, perfusionists, biomedical engineers, PhDs. Pharmaceutical employees/consultants must register at the Physicians & Industry rate.

** The Student registration rate is available only to medical students and nursing students. Student registrants, if asked, must proof their student status by presenting official documentation that verifies it.

Participant's Registration fee includes:

  • Admission to all Scientific Sessions
  • Admission to the Exhibition Area
  • Congress Printing Material including Abstract Book
  • Conference Kit
  • Coffee Breaks
  • Certificate of Attendance
  • Admission to the welcome reception (Plane Tree of Hippocrates)
  • Admission to the Re-enactment ceremony of the Hippocratic Oath (Asklipeion)

Accompanying person Registration fee includes:

  • Admission to the welcome reception (Plane Tree of Hippocrates)
  • Walking Cultural City Tour (Scheduled for Thursday 1st of May, 2008)
  • Admission to the Re-enactment of the Hippocratic Oath (Asklipeion)

Confirmation of Participation

The Congress Secretariat will confirm registrations after receipt of both Registration Form and payment.

Important Note: Companies that wish to cover only the Registration Fee for Participants are subject to a surcharge at the current rate of 19% VAT. Companies that wish to cover more than one service for a participant (e.g. Accommodation, Tours etc.) are not subject to VAT.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of registration should be in writing to the Congress Secretariat. For every written cancellation received before February 28, 2008, the full amount received, less 25% handling fee, will be refunded. After February 28, 2008 no refund applies. All refunds will be made within two months after the end of the Congress. Bank charges will be deducted.

Important Note: For every change made with reference to registered participants' names and details, an administration fee of EURO 10,00 per change will be charged.

Name Badges

Each participant will receive a name badge upon check-in at the registration desk. The badge will be the official meeting document and should be worn at all times in order to gain entry into the meeting rooms and exhibition. Please note that access will not be possible into any of the conference areas without an official badge.

Letter of Invitation

Participants who need an official invitation letter in order to attend the conference may contact congress secretariat. This service is designed only to assist participants who need to obtain a visa or permission to attend the Congress. It should not be considered an official invitation covering fees or any other expenses.

Important Note: Participants have to be registered for the conference in order to receive their invitation letter.

Registration Desk and Information Desk

The Registration Desk will be located in Kos International Convention Centre (KICC) and will be in operation the following dates and hours:
